Quick Guide: Choosing the Right Product To Stop Infiltration

If you are looking to stop infiltration in the manhole chimney section, you have two choices – trenchless, and open cut method. We know, and understand both methods, and manufactured products to align with both of these options.

Trenchless Method

If you are focusing on the trenchless route, we recommend utilizing our LSS Internal Chimney Seal. The LSS Manhole Chimney Seal is a mechanical rubber sleeve, available in four widths to cover vertical heights from 0-24 inches. The seal is simple to install. Remove the manhole lid, put in place, tighten, and you are done. The LSS Manhole Chimney Seal also comes with a 50-year warranty.

Open Cut Method

If you will be using the open cut method to stop infiltration, we recommend our PRO-RING adjustable grade system. Our PRO-RING system is made from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) and includes grade, finish and angle rings, which means the system is customizable based on the situation you’ve encountered. The rings are also durability, chemical resistant, have a long service life and come with a 25-year warranty. Utilizing our PRO-RING system, along with the recommended sealant, makes the chimney area watertight.
